Our Story
Born from a love of real food and real neighbors
Black Pond Brews started with a simple idea: a place where good food doesn't need a fancy address. We opened our doors on Pomfret Road with a small oven, a handful of recipes, and a conviction that our community deserved better than store-bought everything.
Over time, the bread became legendary in ways we never expected. People drove in from Norwich, Mansfield, even Hartford — just for a loaf. We grew slowly, intentionally, adding a grocery section that reflects the farmers and makers right here in Connecticut.
Today, Black Pond Brews is still a neighborhood shop at heart. The oven fires at 5 AM. The shelves are stocked with what we'd want in our own pantry. And the door is always open.
